About ThesisPath

Built by Academics, For Academics

ThesisPath was founded by researchers who experienced firsthand the isolation and uncertainty of postgraduate study — and who knew there had to be a better way.

Our Story

Why We Started ThesisPath

Postgraduate research can be a profoundly isolating experience. You have a supervisor who meets you occasionally, a library full of books, and a blank document that needs to become a 80,000-word thesis. The gap between those two realities is where most students struggle.

Dr. Eleanor Hartley spent over a decade watching talented students stall, panic, and sometimes abandon their degrees — not because they lacked ability, but because they lacked consistent, personalised support. She founded ThesisPath to provide exactly that.

The weekly video call model is central to everything we do. It creates accountability, builds momentum, and ensures you are never left alone with a problem for more than a week. It is the kind of support that genuinely changes outcomes.

PhD in Educational Research, University of Cambridge · MSc Psychology, UCL

Eleanor founded ThesisPath after a decade supervising postgraduate research at Cambridge and UCL. ThesisPath was built to fill that gap.
